Mission
The mission of the Counseling Graduate Student Association (CGSA) is to establish an inclusive community of support among the future counselors within the three different tracks of the counseling program. Our goal is to increase the engagement level of students and young professionals in the counseling program through social events, mentoring, service events, and leadership development in order to professionally prepare students to be ambassadors and change agents in the counseling profession. As an organization, we are committed to the "REAL" framework of the traditions of the Jesuit Community, here at Loyola Marymount University and beyond.
Vision
The Counseling Graduate Student Association (CGSA) 's vision is to provide services to its members in the couneling program as well as the LMU community as a whole in a vast array of channels. These advantaged services would be provided to students through events, networking sessions, conferences, community service, professional leadership formation, and mentoring. Most Importantly CGSA seeks to encourage students to have active and participatory voices in the counseling program.
